Treatment Programs at WSYH Addiction Treatment

Transparent, clinically rigorous treatment programs in Rancho Cucamonga that replace outdated stigma with measurable progress.

Treatment programs overview

Medical Detox

Three to seven days of 24-hour medical supervision in our Haven Avenue detox unit. Withdrawal is a medical event with real physiological risks — seizures, blood pressure spikes, cardiac strain — and we treat it that way, with physician-managed protocols and continuous nursing.

We explain every medication decision in clinical language the patient and family can follow. No euphemisms about "comfort meds" or "getting through it." The goal is an informed, dignified medical process, not a stoic test.

What's included: 24/7 nursing, physician-managed medication, psychiatric consult within 48 hours, MAT when clinically indicated, trauma-informed bedside practice, and daily specifics communicated to the family contact.

Residential Treatment

A 30 to 90 day stay in our 35-bed Rancho Cucamonga residence. Our schedule is clinically intensive by design — multiple therapy touchpoints every day, not warehousing time. Patients complete measurable clinical work, and the treatment plan is updated against that work every two weeks.

Family systems work is central: weekly family therapy sessions, biweekly multi-family workshops, and a structured reconnection plan starting in week one. The household the patient returns to is part of the treatment unit.

What's included: private and shared rooms, chef-prepared meals, yoga studio, art therapy room, ceramics workshop, gymnasium, outdoor fitness area, sauna, and a 90-day post-discharge check-in cadence.

Outpatient Program

Three outpatient tracks for Inland Empire residents — Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Fontana, Upland, Chino, and the 210/15 freeway corridor.

PHP runs 5 days per week, 6 hours per day, for 2–4 weeks. IOP runs 3 evenings per week for 8–12 weeks — built specifically for working adults and parents. Standard outpatient continues weekly therapy and psychiatric medication management for 3–6 months after step-down.

Step-down between levels is clinical, not calendar-based. If a patient hits milestones early, we step them down early. If they need more time, we keep them at a higher level of care without pressure to move.

Dual diagnosis therapy

Dual Diagnosis

Research consistently shows that more than 60% of patients with substance use disorders have a co-occurring psychiatric condition — and treating one without the other is the single most common source of relapse we see in patients arriving from prior programs.

Our dual diagnosis track keeps psychiatric medication management, trauma-informed therapy (EMDR and ACT), and substance use therapy under one coordinated clinical team. Dr. Keene reviews every plan; the psychiatrist who prescribes is the same one who attends the family session.

Approach: integrated assessment in week one, single coordinated plan, EMDR for trauma-driven cases, ACT for patients whose psychiatric condition has shaped their relationship to substances, and discharge with named local psychiatric follow-up.
